Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Support Specialist to join our team at NEC Software Solutions. As a key member of our support team, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance to our employees, ensuring that they have the necessary tools and resources to perform their jobs effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Support: Respond to and resolve IT support requests in a timely and accurate manner, troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues on desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.
  • Hardware Maintenance: Perform hardware upgrades, repairs, and replacements as needed, ensuring that all equipment is in good working order.
  • Software Management: Assist with software installations, updates, and patches, troubleshooting and resolving software-related issues.
  • User Assistance: Provide user guidance and training on using software applications and systems, offering technical assistance to non-technical end-users in a clear and user-friendly manner.
Requirements
  • Technical Knowledge: Working technical knowledge of current protocols, operating systems, and standards, including Windows 10/11 and Microsoft Office (M365).
  • Experience: Demonstrable experience in desktop support or desk-side user support, with a strong understanding of software and hardware troubleshooting.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication (both verbal and written) skills, with the ability to operate effectively in a team environment with both technical and non-technical team members.
  • Security Clearance: Eligible for UK Security Clearance.
