Job Summary

As a Summer Intern in the Quantitative Research Analyst Program, you will join our Corporate and Investment Bank Markets team for a 9-week internship. Our Global Markets teams develop innovative solutions to help clients manage risk, increase returns, and solve complex financial problems. You will be part of a dynamic team, working closely with quants, technologists, traders, marketers, and risk managers to develop and enhance models and algorithms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and enhance mathematical models and algorithms to optimize pricing of financial instruments and manage risk in existing portfolios.
  • Work closely with trading desks to develop statistical arbitrage strategies and other quantitative trading models.
  • Develop and maintain sophisticated mathematical models and infrastructure to value and hedge financial transactions.
  • Improve the performance of algorithmic trading strategies and promote advanced electronic solutions to clients worldwide.
Requirements
  • Enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in a relevant field such as mathematics, statistics, physics, engineering, computer science, or data science/machine learning.
  • Foundational knowledge of and proficiency in one or more programming languages, including Python, C++, or other relevant languages.
  • Analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills, as well as demonstrated research skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, collaborative work environment.
  • Excellent interpretive skills and the ability to present findings to a non-technical audience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of options pricing theory, trading algorithms, or demonstrated interest in finance through coursework or prior experience.
  • Confidence and initiative to take on responsibility and manage your own projects.
  • Knowledge of machine learning/data science theory, techniques, and tools.
