Role Summary

We are seeking a talented Quantitative Research Analyst to join our London-based solutions team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing advanced mathematical, statistical, and AI-driven models, as well as high-performance algorithms to forecast sporting event outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement outcome-focused trading strategies, followed by rigorous statistical backtesting to evaluate their effectiveness.
  • Communicate analytical findings clearly and effectively to traders and team members.
  • Collaborate closely with data scientists and quantitative developers to create and execute mid to high-frequency trading strategies for public sports exchanges.
  • Utilize Python for quantitative analysis and data science tasks, including the development of new trading strategies.
  • Gather data from diverse sources, ensuring thorough filtering, cleaning, and preparation.
  • Analyze and interpret complex datasets to identify trends and patterns.

Candidate Profile

  • Educational background in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related STEM field, preferably at the Master's or PhD level.
  • Proven experience in constructing mathematical or machine learning models, with familiarity in Bayesian inference, Monte Carlo simulations, and Random Forest methodologies.
  • Strong statistical analysis skills with a background in data research.
  • Proficient in software design and development using Python, Pandas, and SQL/NoSQL databases.
  • Familiarity with data science libraries such as scikit-learn, SciPy, and TensorFlow is advantageous.
  • A basic understanding of the horse racing industry is a plus.
