Adult Autism Support Specialist

HomeCareDirect is a national service provider, committed to delivering safe, compassionate and person-centred care. As an Adult Autism Support Worker, you will be employed on behalf of a client and your focus will be to support them only. This part-time role, 20 hours per week on Thursday and Friday, involves providing reliable and essential care in their home.
Job OverviewThis role requires a good understanding of mental health to provide proper support for the client's well-being. You should be comfortable around dogs, as the family has an energetic and affectionate cockapoo. Knowledge of autism would be an advantage. The salary for this position is £50 per hour.
Responsibilities- Assist with personal care when needed during/after a seizure
- Provide support in the client's home
- Work collaboratively with the client's support team
- Comfortable working around a dog
- Good understanding of mental health
- Able to commit to long-term, person-centred care
