Chief Respiratory Physiologist Lead

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Physiologist to lead our respiratory function team at London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust. As a key member of the trust, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality diagnostic services and ensuring the smooth operation of our lung function rooms.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in respiratory physiology, including lung function testing, sleep diagnostics, and patient care. You should be able to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, demonstrating excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A strong understanding of NHS policies and procedures is essential, as well as the ability to manage staff and prioritize tasks effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
- To lead the respiratory function team and ensure the delivery of high-quality diagnostic services.
- To manage the day-to-day operations of the lung function rooms, including staff management and resource allocation.
- To provide clinical supervision and mentoring to junior physiologists.
- To stay up-to-date with the latest developments in respiratory physiology and implement best practices within the team.
- To participate in quality control and improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
Requirements:
- Masters or equivalent qualification in Respiratory Physiology or related field.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in respiratory physiology, including lung function testing and sleep diagnostics.
- Proven leadership and management skills, with experience in staff supervision and training.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- A strong understanding of NHS policies and procedures.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
Salary Range: £45,000 - £60,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
