Transformation Unit is seeking a skilled Respiratory Physiologist Specialist to join their team. This role involves overseeing the running of respiratory laboratories, ensuring all investigation services are provided with a high standard of care.

Main Responsibilities
  • To oversee the physiology team on a range of diagnostic tests and procedures, including spirometry, lung volumes measurement, transfer factor measurement, and more.
  • To independently perform and interpret complex clinical investigations in line with national, Trust, departmental, and professional directives.
  • To work cross-site assisting the Lead Respiratory Physiologist and deputising when required.

This role requires specialist knowledge across a range of respiratory and sleep procedures, as well as experience working at Band 6 or equivalent. The ideal candidate will have excellent patient care skills, interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills, and ability to work both independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
