Role Overview

Creative Minds Arts & Crafts CIC is seeking a skilled Art Facilitator to lead our SEND program, designing and delivering engaging arts and craft workshops in a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement accessible arts and craft workshops for participants with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), adapting methods and materials as needed.
  2. Promote and advertise workshops to ensure strong attendance and community engagement.
  3. Maintain a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment, encouraging participation and creative expression.
  4. Implement safeguarding procedures and act as a safeguarding lead when necessary.
  5. Collaborate with team members to improve workshop content and delivery methods.
  6. Foster a therapeutic approach to art facilitation, incorporating the PACE model to encourage self-expression and creativity.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  1. Experience facilitating arts and craft workshops, with a strong understanding of diverse participant needs.
  2. Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  3. Demonstrated ability to create a positive and encouraging learning environment.
  4. Passion for working with diverse groups and helping others express themselves through creative activities.

Preferred Experience:

  1. Safeguarding Lead qualifications or experience.
  2. Familiarity with advertising or promoting workshops to increase engagement.
  3. Knowledge of the PACE teaching model and safeguarding practices.

Additional Information:

  • Hourly pay: £11.44-£13.00
  • Expected hours: No less than 2 per week
