About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Parenting Facilitator to join our team at Cardiff County Council. As a key member of our Flying Start Groups Team, you will contribute to the planning and delivery of services that promote parent-child interaction, nurture and support child development, and offer a safe place for parents and children to play and interact.

The successful candidate will work closely with a Senior Parent Group Facilitator to deliver engaging and fun Parenting Programmes in community venues across the city. You will be responsible for creating a welcoming and inclusive environment that is sensitive to the needs of adults and children using this service.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Co-facilitating Parenting Programmes with a Senior Parent Group Facilitator
  • Contributing to the planning and delivery of services that promote parent-child interaction and child development
  • Creating a safe and inclusive environment for parents and children to play and interact
  • Providing support and guidance to parents on parenting approaches and child development
