Job Title: Transport Programme Planner

We are seeking an experienced Transport Programme Planner to join our Highways, Transport & Design service at Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work on a portfolio of transport projects, assisting and leading in their development and delivery. As a Transport Programme Planner, you will be responsible for client role and programme management, working closely with multi-disciplinary teams to achieve project goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver transport projects, working closely with stakeholders and teams.
  • Manage project budgets and finances, ensuring effective planning and control.
  • Communicate complex technical issues to a wide range of stakeholders, ensuring effective decision-making and project progress.
  • Lead and manage multi-disciplinary teams, ensuring effective collaboration and project delivery.
  • Work closely with public sector organisations, developing and maintaining effective relationships.
Requirements
  • Experience of successful project and programme management, with a strong track record of leading multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Experience of working in or with public sector organisations, with a strong understanding of their needs and challenges.
  • Effective budget and financial planning skills, with the ability to manage complex financial data.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical issues to a wide range of stakeholders, ensuring effective decision-making and project progress.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead and manage multi-disciplinary teams.
