Job Title: Transport Programme Planner

We are seeking an experienced Transport Programme Planner to join our Highways, Transport & Design service at Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work on a portfolio of transport projects that will enable residents and visitors to travel more sustainably to, and within, the borough. As a Transport Programme Planner, you will assist and lead in the development and delivery of transport projects, working closely with our partners in the Tees Valley Combined Authority and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the development and delivery of a portfolio of transport projects
  • Lead in the client role and programme management of transport projects
  • Work closely with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver projects
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders
  • Manage budgets and financial planning for projects
Requirements
  • Experience of successful project/programme management and leading multi-disciplinary teams
  • Experience of working in or with public sector organisations
  • Effective budget and financial planning skills
  • Ability to understand and communicate complex technical issues to stakeholders
  • Strong track record of decision making and working to deadlines
