Transport Programme Planner

We are seeking an experienced Programme Planner to join our Highways, Transport & Design service at Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work on a portfolio of transport projects, assisting and leading in their development and delivery. As Programme Planner, you will be responsible for client role and programme management, working on projects such as transport schemes and infrastructure development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the development and delivery of transport projects, working closely with multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Manage client relationships and programme delivery, ensuring successful project outcomes.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and communicate complex technical issues.
  • Make informed decisions and work to deadlines, ensuring project timelines are met.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in project/programme management, with a strong track record of leading teams.
  • Experience working in or with public sector organisations, with a good understanding of their needs.
  • Effective budget and financial planning skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial information.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
