Job Title: Behaviour Support Officer

About the Role:

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behaviour Support Officer to join our team of professionals working with schools in Basingstoke. As a Behaviour Support Officer, you will play a vital role in supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support children with SEN and SEMH needs in a school setting
  • Develop and implement behaviour support plans to promote positive behaviour
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and other professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for students
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to students, promoting their emotional well-being and resilience
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of behaviour policies and procedures

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with SEN and SEMH needs
  • Strong knowledge of behaviour support strategies and techniques
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Passion for supporting children and young people with SEN and SEMH needs
