GSL Education is partnering with forward-thinking schools in Basingstoke to recruit Behaviour Mentors to work across various age groups, supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) requirements.

SEN Needs: Autism, ADHD, Down's Syndrome, and Moderate Learning Difficulties

SEMH Needs: Anxiety, Depression, and Trauma

The schools have a supportive senior leadership team and a progressive approach. They are conveniently located near local transportation hubs and offer on-site parking.

Applicants with varying levels of experience are welcome, although prior experience working with students with challenging behaviour is advantageous due to the nature of the role.

If you are a future or aspiring Teacher, Sports Coach, or experienced SEND Teaching Assistant, this opportunity could be ideal for you. Additionally, if you have experience as a Youth Worker, Support Worker, or Behaviour Mentor and are interested in education, please apply

Key Responsibilities:

  • Have experience working with children
  • Be confident in managing challenging behaviour
  • Be able to demonstrate your ability to build professional relationships with students

  • Have a passion for SEND and/or SEMH

To work with GSL Education as a Behaviour Mentor, you should:

  • Have the right to work in the UK
  • Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years
  • Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education
