About the Role

GSL Education is partnering with forward-thinking schools in Basingstoke to recruit Behaviour Mentors to support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) across various key stages.

The schools have a supportive senior leadership team and a progressive approach. They are conveniently located near local stations and offer onsite parking.

We welcome applications from candidates with varying experience levels, although previous experience working with students with challenging behaviour is advantageous due to the nature of the role.

If you are a future/aspiring Teacher, Sports Coach, or an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant, this opportunity could be ideal for you. Additionally, if you have experience as a Youth Worker, Support Worker, or Behaviour Mentor and are interested in education, please apply.

Key Responsibilities
  • Have experience working with children
  • Be confident at managing challenging behaviour
  • Be able to demonstrate your ability to build professional relationships with students
  • Have a fun but firm presence
  • Have an interest in education
  • Have a passion for SEND and/or SEMH
Requirements
  • Have the right to work in the UK
  • Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years
  • Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education
