About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Practitioner Psychologist to join our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) team at Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality psychological assessments, formulations, and interventions to children and young people experiencing complex and severe mental health problems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and develop evidence-based treatment plans for children and young people with complex mental health needs.
  • Deliver a range of psychological interventions, including individual and group therapy, to support children and young people in achieving their goals and improving their mental health.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to provide comprehensive care and support to children and young people.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical care pathways and protocols to ensure high-quality care and effective service delivery.
  • Supervise and support the development of other psychologists and psychological therapists within the team, including trainee clinical psychologists on placement from the University of Southampton.
  • Engage in research and service evaluation activities to inform the development of evidence-based practice and improve service outcomes.
