We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our Neurodevelopmental Team at Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust. As a Senior Practitioner Psychologist, you will play a key role in providing high-quality psychological assessments, formulations, and interventions to children and young people experiencing complex and severe mental health problems.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and develop evidence-based treatment plans for individuals, families, and groups.
- Deliver a range of psychological interventions, including individual and group therapy, to promote positive outcomes and improve mental health.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement clinical care pathways and ensure seamless transitions between services.
- Supervise and support the development of junior psychologists and psychological therapists, including trainee clinical psychologists on placement from the University of Southampton.
- Contribute to the development and evaluation of clinical policies and services, using research skills to inform practice and improve outcomes.
We are looking for a qualified and experienced Clinical Psychologist with a postgraduate doctoral level training in applied psychology and registration with the Health Professions Council (HCPC). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in child and adolescent mental health, with experience in conducting comprehensive psychological assessments and developing evidence-based treatment plans.
Desirable qualifications include pre-qualification training and qualifications in research methodology, staff training, and other fields of applied psychology.
