Are you passionate about weather observations and eager to make a difference? Do you have a strong understanding of programming languages such as Python? If so, we encourage you to apply for our Weather Observations Industrial Placement scheme.

As a member of our Observations Operations team, you will be responsible for monitoring the performance of operational observing systems, investigating issues, and providing information to users. You will also work closely with the Network Specialists to ensure the effective running of the networks and deliver operational services.

This is a 12-month Year in Industry placement, offering you the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge while gaining valuable experience in the field. You will be working towards a Graduate Development scheme once you have completed your University studies, with the potential to join our team permanently.

The salary for this role is approximately £29,000 - £34,000 per annum, based on the national average salary for a similar role in the UK. Benefits include annual leave starting at 27 days per year, access to discounted shopping, and the opportunity to contribute to project and team meetings.

Please note that you must have achieved a level of education in science or numeracy to be eligible for this role. You will also need to reside in the UK for at least 3 of the last 5 years and achieve full security clearance within your first 6 months with us.
