At S3 Science, we are seeking a skilled Animal Care Specialist to support our research team in Exeter. This role involves providing exceptional animal care and husbandry services for facility animals.

About the Role
We offer a competitive salary of £26,000 - £29,600 per annum, plus relocation package if needed. As an Animal Care Specialist, you will be responsible for:
  • Husbandry and animal care of rodents in the unit.
  • Supporting the facility with daily husbandry tasks.
  • Record keeping, such as animal and laboratory records.
  • Assisting with animal experimentation and research.


Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
  • PIL License holder (Modules A-C).
  • IAT Level 2 qualification.
  • Previous experience training staff members.
  • BSc or higher in Biological Sciences or equivalent degree.
  • Previous experience working with rodents in a research facility.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and a passion for animal welfare.
