Behavioural Support Assistant

Engage Partners is currently working in partnership with a specialist SEMH provision to support learners with complex behavioural needs. We are seeking a Behavioural Support Assistant to join their team on a long-term basis.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals with challenging behaviours, both children and adults. They will be able to provide one-to-one support, work with other support staff to engage pupils in class, and provide feedback to teachers and parents.
The school strives to give their pupils a fresh approach to learning in their alternative provision setting. They encourage pupils to continue their educational progress both within the time they are there and when they are ready to move on to other schools and establishments.
The Behavioural Support Assistant will be responsible for:
- Supporting learners on a one-to-one basis with complex behavioural needs
- Working with other support staff to engage pupils in class
- Providing feedback to teachers and parents
The successful candidate will have a range of behaviour management techniques, experience working with learners with a range of needs, and the ability to engage a young person in learning through a range of methods.
