Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at a special school for secondary pupils with learning and additional needs. As a Teaching Assistant, you will work under the direction of a qualified teacher to support the delivery of quality learning and teaching to pupils with special educational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the teacher in delivering lessons to pupils with special educational needs.
- Work with pupils who have a range of significant and complex SEND, including autism, social, emotional and mental health difficulties, moderate learning difficulties, speech language and communication needs, and challenging behaviour.
- Undertake specified work with individuals, groups, and whole classes under the direction and supervision of a qualified teacher.
- Encourage pupil participation in social and academic processes of the school.
Requirements:
- GCSEs or equivalent in English and Maths.
- Experience working with children with special educational needs.
- Ability to work under the direction of a qualified teacher.
