About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Nurse Leader to join our team at University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust. As a Senior Sister, you will play a key role in leading and managing our A&E team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and contributing to the overall success of the department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of nurses and healthcare professionals to deliver excellent patient care and outcomes.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to improve patient flow and reduce waiting times.
  • Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior staff members to enhance their skills and knowledge.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse with a degree-level qualification and a minimum of 5 years post-registration experience.
  • Proven leadership and management experience, with a track record of success in leading teams and improving patient outcomes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of relevant policies and procedures, including those related to patient safety and quality improvement.
