Job Title: Communities Support Officer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Communities Support Officer to join our team at Adecco. The successful candidate will provide a first-class service to refugees and asylum seekers in Hounslow, promoting a philosophy of putting service user needs first at every opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to refugees and asylum seekers via telephone, in person, and online, responding to changing priorities and adapting to challenging circumstances.
  • Link multiagency partners with residents to show a considered and joined-up approach to their situation.
  • Work on various aspects of the Homes for Ukraine scheme, including database management and engagement with sponsors, conducting home visits across the borough.
  • Ensure casework is progressed professionally, promptly, and in accordance with Council policies, procedures, charters, and current legislation.
  • Maintain accurate and relevant records of customer data, ensuring resident contact details are kept up to date and maintaining data protection and customer confidentiality.

Requirements:

  • Experience of both asylum and Homes for Ukraine schemes.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage with people experiencing challenging circumstances.
  • Ability to work flexibly and be adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
