About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Palliative Care Nurse to join our dynamic team at Lawrence Nurses. As a Bank Palliative Nurse, you will provide high-quality nursing care to patients in their own homes, working within our established protocols and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver compassionate and person-centered care to palliative patients, supporting their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.
  • Work collaboratively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Conduct thorough assessments, identify care needs, and develop effective care strategies.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families, promoting independence and self-management.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary teams, contributing to the development of care plans and ensuring seamless care transitions.
  • Maintain accurate records, adhering to regulatory requirements and Lawrence Nurses' policies.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development, staying up-to-date with best practices and research in palliative care.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse (RN) with a minimum of two years' experience in palliative care, preferably in a community setting.
  • Post-registration qualification in palliative care or a related field (e.g., ENB 931 or Diploma in Palliative Care).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Strong assessment and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize care needs and develop effective care plans.
  • Ability to work autonomously, with minimal supervision, and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
