About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing mental health assessment and brief treatment for HIV patients, as well as consulting with HIV healthcare professionals and HIV mental health team members to provide collaborative trauma-informed care.
Main Responsibilities
- Assess and manage the mental health needs of HIV patients, including those with complex trauma and substance use issues.
- Collaborate with the HIV clinical team to provide holistic care and support to patients.
- Develop and implement care plans that address the mental health needs of HIV patients.
- Provide education and training to other healthcare professionals on HIV-related mental health issues.
- Contribute to the development of mental health services for HIV patients, including the development of new programs and services.

Person Specification
- MB BS or equivalent medical qualification.

- Excellent clinical skills using bio-psycho-social and trauma-informed perspective and wide medical knowledge.
