Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Liaison Psychiatrist to join our Child and Adolescent Mental Health (CAMHS) team in Sussex. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical assessments and consultations for children, young people, and their families in an Acute Hospital Setting.

About the Role: As a CAMHS Consultant Liaison Psychiatrist, you will work collaboratively with other members of the team and the Acute hospital staff to plan and deliver appropriate individually tailored treatment plans. You will be based in the Royal Alexandra Children's Hospital in Brighton and will also provide sessions to Hospitals in West Sussex.

Key Responsibilities: The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing high-quality specialist clinical assessments and consultations for children, young people, and their families.
  • Working collaboratively with other members of the team and the Acute hospital staff to plan and deliver appropriate individually tailored treatment plans.
  • Developing and implementing treatment plans that meet the needs of children, young people, and their families.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of patient care and treatment plans.
  • Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings and contributing to the development of the CAMHS service.

Person Specification: To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • MB BS or equivalent medical qualification.
  • Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practise at the time of appointment.
  • Included on the GMC Specialist Register OR within six months.
  • Approved clinician status OR able to achieve within 3 months of appointment.
  • Approved under S12 OR able to achieve within 3 months of appointment.

What We Offer: We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, including a Recruitment and Retention payment of £25,000, in addition to up to £8000 relocation allowance. The RRP payment is paid in instalments, and the full terms of the payment and relocation allowance can be discussed with our Medical Staffing Team.
