Lead Auditor Role

We are seeking an experienced Audit Semi-Senior to join our dynamic team at a top-tier accountancy firm in the UK. With a strong legacy of over 30 years, the firm has established itself as a leading provider of tailored services to ambitious business clients across various industries.
The firm is committed to delivering exceptional client experiences and fostering a collaborative culture that encourages technical excellence and innovative solutions. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to work closely with experienced seniors to perform audits from start to finish.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Providing assistance in accounts preparation and tax computations on non-audit assignments.
- Collaborating with an audit team to support different stages of the audit process.
- Contributing to audit planning, conducting fieldwork, assessing client procedures, and offering constructive recommendations.
- Maintaining audit quality standards in accordance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Supporting and mentoring junior team members, offering guidance, training, and development support.
We're looking for candidates who possess a unique blend of skills and experience, including:
- Pursuing ACA or ACCA qualifications.
- At least 1 year's experience in external audit within an accountancy practice.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with accounting software such as Sage and Xero; experience with CCH and CaseWare is beneficial.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
- Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Ambitious with a drive for professional growth, eager to take on greater responsibilities.
This role offers a competitive salary of £28,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience, along with a range of benefits including full study support, pension scheme, group life assurance, healthcare cash plan, hybrid working options, car parking availability, holiday buy-and-sell scheme, social events, employee referral bonuses, and access to an Employee Assistance Programme.
