Role Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Aspiring Educational Psychologist to support children with moderate learning difficulties and additional mental health needs.

The school is based in Lewes, catering to children aged 4-16, with a specialization in SEMH to provide exceptional education and extra help for traumatized children and young people.

You will be working closely with children who have come from trauma/neglected backgrounds, challenging behavior, ADHD, or Autism, and require additional support with improving social, emotional, and mental well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting children with SEN, especially those with mental health issues
  • Providing comprehensive training and development opportunities
  • Working in term-time only, offering a generous holiday allowance
  • Career progression within the role of an Educational Psychologist
  • Contributing to forward planning with therapists to ensure the best possible outcomes for children

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you should possess excellent communication skills, a deep understanding of child psychology, and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Salary: £28,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience
