About the Role:
M&S Opticians is seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as the Assistant Shop Manager in our busy practice. As an Assistant Shop Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of the Optical and Hearing Practice while delivering industry-leading patient care. You will assist the Store Manager in the daily running of a successful optical practice. Your responsibilities will include:

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Leadership and Team Management: Lead, motivate, and manage a team of optometrists, hearing aid audiologists, and optical assistants to ensure the highest standards of patient care and service delivery.
  2. Customer Experience: Ensure an exceptional customer experience by maintaining a welcoming and professional atmosphere, addressing patient inquiries and concerns, and ensuring timely and accurate service.
  3. Financial Performance: Drive business growth by pulling the right levers to drive your store's key performance indicators (KPIs), ensuring the store is profitable.
  4. Business Development: Develop and execute business strategies aimed at expanding the practice's patient base and market presence through in-store marketing activity and collaboration with senior management.
Requirements:
  1. Proven experience in an optical role, preferably as a supervisor or team leader.
  2. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and staff.
  4. Solid understanding of practice operations, industry regulations, and business development.
  5. Professional demeanor and a commitment to delivering outstanding patient care.
