About the Role

An exciting opportunity has opened up to join Kent County Council's leadership team as a Community Development Manager.

This role offers the chance to enhance locality working practice and put individuals at the heart of care and support in Kent County Council Adult Social Care and Health directorate.

We work with adults who require care and support, focusing on building relationships with the individual, their families, and carers. Our interventions are structured around three key areas: excellent practice, exceptional innovation, and meaningful measures.

As a Community Development Manager, you will lead your locality team, ensuring statutory responsibilities are met, driving high-quality practice, and providing leadership across the wider area team. You will engage with local communities to build relationships and empower individuals to find trusted help and support locally.

You will have experience managing operational teams in local government or the Health and Social Care sector. You should demonstrate knowledge of the legal framework and legislation of a Local Authority. Effective data use and quality measures are crucial for robust performance management and improving quality of practice.

The successful candidate will have a relevant professional qualification (Social Work, Nursing, or Occupational Therapy) and be registered with the appropriate professional body. This post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure application to the Disclosure and Barring service.

**Salary:** £73,407 - £82,266 per annum
