OD Group, a leading office interiors company based in the City of London, is seeking an experienced Construction Project Lead to join its traditional arm, OD Interiors. This role offers a unique opportunity to secure and deliver projects as part of the delivery team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the entire project process from pre-start activities through design, procurement, and construction phases to practical completion and finalisation of the defects period.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Actively manage commercial fit-out projects for OD Interiors
  • Correctly interpret client requirements and professional team input
  • Follow established management procedures to maintain efficiency and high service levels
  • Be proactive in assisting clients and the professional team with change requirements
  • Maintain high quality supervision
  • Complete projects within budget and on time or ahead of schedule
  • Exceed client expectations and professional team performance
  • Ensure projects are completed defect-free
  • Minimise risks to OD Interiors contractually and financially
  • Ensure all construction work is undertaken safely and that Health & Safety duties and documentation are fully completed
  • Evaluate site setup and professional supply chain performance
  • Achieve high-quality workmanship by all trades
  • Chair site meetings and monitor subsequent action plans
  • Resource sites adequately with regard to labour, equipment, and materials
  • Implement the company's Health & Safety Policy and ensure statutory regulations are complied with
  • Programme and organise works, assessing critical path activities for timely completion
  • Negotiate and place orders for sub-contractors and suppliers, achieving competitive prices and quality of service
  • Prepare and present cost value comparisons and agree valuations of work at stated intervals
  • Agree final accounts and ensure client payments are made on time for good cash flow
  • Follow OD Group procedures regarding site files, contract files, and associated forms
  • Ensure personal organisation is at a level to carry out responsibilities and duties professionally and efficiently
  • Provide pre-construction input and assistance in securing construction contracts through programme and method statement production when requested

The successful candidate can expect a salary of £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
