The Role of the Quantity Surveyor at Ardmore Construction

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Ardmore Construction. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play an active supporting part in the various commercial activities associated with a project, in conformity with company procedures as laid down from time to time.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in promoting the Health and Safety policy and provide support to the Project Quantity Surveyor, Senior Quantity Surveyor, and Managing Quantity Surveyor.
  2. Assist with the procurement of Sub-Contractors, Consultants, and Suppliers, and contribute to the analysis of their tender returns.
  3. Authorise payments in respect of interim and final applications for payment from Sub-Contractors, Consultants, and Suppliers, subject to the prior approval of the Project Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor or Managing Quantity Surveyor and in accordance with company contractual arrangements.
  4. Prepare, coordinate, and process labour only payments, and carry out building work take-offs, measurement, and scheduling exercises, and preparation of bills of quantities for the procurement and sub-letting processes.

Requirements:

  1. BSc in Quantity Surveying
  2. Chartered member of RICS
  3. JCT Contracts
  4. Commercial knowledge
  5. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the Construction industry
