About the Role:

The Deputy Head of Care will be responsible for leading the care provision at High Close School, working closely with the Head of Care to ensure the highest standards of care are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the care provision at High Close School, ensuring the needs of young people are met.
  • Work closely with the Head of Care to develop and implement care plans.
  • Manage and develop a team of care staff, providing training and support as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with National Minimum Standards for Residential Special Schools.
  • Contribute to the leadership and management of the day and residential provision, including the Family Resource Team.

Requirements:

  • Experience of working in a residential special school setting or similar environment.
  • Substantial experience in leading and managing teams of staff.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and build positive professional relationships.
  • Good understanding of the additional needs of young people and experience of working with children and young people with SEMH needs.
  • Experience of managing Child Protection and Safeguarding concerns.
