Mentor for Children with Complex Needs

In this role, you will work in a mainstream Primary School located in the Borough of Lambeth to support pupils with SEMH & complex behavioural needs.

You will provide positive and assertive guidance to help these students stay engaged and motivated in the classroom, adhering to school safeguarding procedures and ensuring their overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support students with SEN & SEMH to stay engaged in the classroom
  • Develop and encourage social skills among students
  • Work in various settings, including classrooms and smaller groups, to cater to individual needs
  • Follow school policies and procedures regarding safeguarding
  • Commence as soon as possible in a full-time, long-term position
Candidate Specifications:
  • Bachelor's degree from a reputable University
  • Demonstrated passion for working with SEN and Mental Health
  • Effective communication and adaptability skills
  • Desirable experience in SEN-related roles
  • A calm and empathetic demeanor
