Job Summary:
Norse Group is seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Norwich. As a key member of our Quantity Surveying team, you will be responsible for providing technical support and expertise to our clients across East Anglia.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide professional and technical support to other members of the QS team
- Support the preparation of project cost estimates and costs plans appropriate to the RIBA stage of a project, and in accordance with NRM2
- Assist in the preparations of high-quality tender documentation to deadlines, including production of pre-tender estimates
- Assist with the review and assessment of variation claims, and provide updated cost reports to the client on a regular basis
- Control all post-contract procedures, making valuations for payments, producing financial reports, and monitoring actual and anticipated expenditure
- Ensure work is delivered in a timely manner in accordance with the requirements of the project programme
- Carry out other duties commensurate with your grade as directed by your line manager
- Facilitate good working relationships with clients
Requirements:
- HND/HNC (or equivalent) in a related surveying or construction discipline, or can demonstrate relevant experience
- Degree in Quantity Surveying - Desirable
- Willing to work towards becoming a professionally qualified QS
- Hold a current site card or is prepared to attain
- Proven experience within a similar or related role
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the business
- Familiar with Construction H&S Legislation and associated Desirable Risks and Hazards - Desirable
- Full UK Driving Licence to meet travelling requirements for the role
