Job Title: Risk, Business Continuity and Security Advisor

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Risk, Business Continuity and Security Advisor to join our team at Cheshire West and Chester Council. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in promoting, developing, and coordinating Council processes for risk management, business continuity, and employee personal security.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective risk management frameworks to identify, assess, and mitigate strategic and operational risks.
  • Design and maintain robust business continuity plans to ensure an effective response to potential threats to service delivery.
  • Establish and maintain security policies and procedures to mitigate security risks to staff.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement in risk management, business continuity, and security.

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience in risk management, business continuity, and security, ideally in the public sector.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Passion for ensuring excellent public services and delivering long-lasting improvement.
