The Oncology Pharmacy Team at Raigmore Hospital provides specialist cancer services for NHS Highland as part of the North Cancer Alliance (NCA). The team treats patients with solid tumours and haematological malignancies.

As a pharmacist in this team, you will join a group committed to the development of services to cancer patients. You will have the opportunity to expand your clinical knowledge and skills within a challenging but supportive environment.

You will gain a breadth of experience across pharmacy oncology and haematology services, including clinical services, cancer clinical trials services, and the electronic chemotherapy prescribing system (Chemocare). You will also participate in the Raigmore weekend and out of hours' service and public holiday rotas.

Requirements

  • You should be a GPhC registered pharmacist with excellent communication and inter-personal skills.
  • You should be able to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Committed candidates who are interested in developing a role in cancer services but have limited or no prior experience in cancer care are also encouraged to apply.
