Job Title: Information Governance Support Officer

This is an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic team as an Information Governance Support Officer. As a key member of our Clinical Directorate, Information Governance team, you will provide administration support within our Data Protection Officer (DPO) Support Service for General Medical Practices (GMP) & Community Pharmacies (CP).

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with excellent communication and administrative skills to support the day-to-day running of the team. The ideal candidate will have a flexible approach to working and be able to travel across sites within Wales as required.

About the Role

As the first contact point for service enquiries, you will be responsible for providing a first-class service to our stakeholders. This will involve arranging meetings, note-taking, drafting associated papers/plans, co-ordinating workshops/training sessions, and providing associated support.

You will work closely with our team to raise the profile of data protection and information governance by supporting GMP's & CP's across Wales. Experience in the NHS, Information Governance, and/or working in a Primary Care setting are desirable but not essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the delivery of the DPO Service across Wales.
  • Provide administration support to the team, including arranging meetings, note-taking, and drafting associated papers/plans.
  • Co-ordinate workshops/training sessions and provide associated support.
  • Travel across sites within Wales as required.
Requirements
  • BCS Certificate in Data Protection or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience of administering in an office environment.
  • Good knowledge of Computer skills, and Microsoft Office Suite, with the ability to master new applications.
  • Knowledge of techniques for planning, monitoring, and reporting, e.g., Power BI.
  • Welsh Language Skills are desirable levels 1 to 5 in understanding, speaking, reading, and writing in Welsh.
  • Experience and understanding of Information Governance and technology issues within the healthcare environment.
  • Experience and understanding of Information Governance legislation.
