Job Summary

As a Corporate Governance Officer, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of our Corporate Governance department, supporting the Chief Executive team and ensuring the smooth operation of our boards and committees.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the development of our governance arrangements. You will work closely with the Head of Corporate Governance and other stakeholders to ensure effective decision-making and transparency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality support to the Head of Corporate Governance and other senior officials, ensuring the effective operation of boards and committees.
  • Develop and maintain internal guidance and information on corporate governance arrangements, ensuring that all stakeholders have access to accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Work closely with the Head of Corporate Governance and Chairs of committees to ensure decisions are made in the appropriate forum and that committees are operating in line with their Terms of Reference.
  • Assist in the regular review of Terms of Reference and ensure that all necessary documentation is up to date.
  • Proof and edit papers and reports, working with authors to ensure high-quality content that supports effective decision-making.
  • Support the implementation of improvements to our governance arrangements, working closely with the Head of Corporate Governance and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure the internal Governance Guide is up to date and accurately reflects our governance arrangements.
  • Coordinate agendas, papers, and meetings for boards and committees, ensuring that all necessary information is available and that meetings run smoothly.
  • Deliver excellent secretariat support to boards and committees, ensuring that all necessary administrative tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a good understanding of corporate governance principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and organizational skills. You will also need to be able to work effectively in a team and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.

We are looking for a highly motivated and organized individual who is able to work independently and as part of a team. You will need to have a strong attention to detail and be able to maintain confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information.
