Job Overview

An exciting opportunity has emerged within Digital Health & Care Wales for a dedicated Corporate Governance Coordinator to join our Corporate Governance Team.

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic individual with a strong interest in digital initiatives to collaborate with the Corporate Governance Support Manager and the Head of Corporate Governance. Your role will involve delivering comprehensive administrative support to the Board and Committees in a progressive environment where digital innovation is prioritized.

Your primary responsibilities will encompass providing effective and efficient administrative assistance to address the various demands stemming from the activities of the Board and Committees. Key tasks will include organizing meetings, planning agendas, coordinating committee activities, and producing high-quality minutes, correspondence, and reports. You will also ensure quality control of documents prepared for meetings and manage the publication of content on the website.

This dynamic role requires the successful candidate to exhibit the ability to handle competing priorities, adhere to deadlines, and work independently in an agile manner, utilizing multiple digital platforms.

Key Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will be a proactive self-starter with exceptional planning and organizational capabilities. You should possess demonstrable experience in providing comprehensive business support at an Executive or Board level, along with a talent for utilizing digital systems in a digital workspace.

A flexible and proactive work approach is essential, along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Candidates should hold a Degree or equivalent experience and have a strong command of the full Microsoft Office suite. A willingness to learn new skills and the confidence to apply them in a forward-thinking digital environment will be advantageous.

Proficiency in the Welsh language is desirable for this position; applications from both English and/or Welsh speakers are encouraged.

Qualifications and Knowledge

  • Degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration or equivalent experience at the Board level.

  • Registration with a relevant professional body.

  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and the public.
  • Proficiency in using the Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Formal experience in minute-taking.
