About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Information Governance Support Officer to join our team. As the first point of contact for service enquiries, you will be the dynamic and flexible face of our organization, providing a first-class service to our stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, with a strong ability to work independently and as part of a team. You will be responsible for providing administration support to our Data Protection Officer (DPO) Support Service, including arranging meetings, note taking, drafting associated papers/plans, co-ordinating workshops/training sessions, and providing associated support.

Experience in the NHS, Information Governance, and/or working in a Primary Care setting is desirable but not essential. You will be required to have a flexible approach to work and be able to travel on occasion to various sites across Wales as required; this may require overnight stays.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Delivery of the DPO Service across Wales.
  • Provide administration support to the Data Protection Officer (DPO) Support Service.
  • Arrange meetings, note taking, drafting associated papers/plans, co-ordinating workshops/training sessions, and providing associated support.
  • Travel to various sites across Wales as required.
Requirements
  • BCS Certificate in Data Protection or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience of administering in an office environment.
  • Good knowledge of Computer skills, and Microsoft Office Suite, with the ability to master new applications.
  • Knowledge of techniques for planning, monitoring, and reporting, e.g., Power BI.
  • Welsh Language Skills are desirable levels 1 to 5 in understanding, speaking, reading, and writing in Welsh.
  • Experience and understanding of Information Governance and technology issues within the healthcare environment.
  • Experience and understanding of Information Governance legislation.
