Elysium Healthcare offers a unique opportunity for medical professionals to work in a supportive and established service. As an Associate Specialist, you will provide comprehensive medical support across male medium and low secure wards that cater to individuals with mental health disorders.

This role involves clinical assessment, review, and evaluation of patients under care, ensuring adherence to treatment plans. You will also focus on physical health and risk management, working closely with the ward manager, consultant, and multidisciplinary team.

Join a dynamic team alongside Consultant Forensic Psychiatrists and Associate Specialist Doctors, as well as a dedicated administrative support team and physical health team. Elysium Healthcare prioritizes patient-centered care, where the individual is at the heart of all hospital activities.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Clinical assessment, formulation, and treatment
  • Addressing physical health concerns in collaboration with the physical health team and GP
  • Ensuring adequate handovers to colleagues
  • Collateral history from other professionals and family members
  • Preparing discharge letters, reports, and forms as required
  • Contributing to service development through Clinical Governance activities
