We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join our team at Reed. As a key member of our financial department, you will be responsible for providing administrative support and ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports, ensuring compliance with legal and company accounting and financial guidelines.
- Maintain and update accounting records and files with meticulous accuracy.
- Analyse budgets, financial reports and projections for accurate reporting.
- Manage tax payments and returns, and ensure all financial transactions are properly recorded.
- Post financial transactions in the general ledger and conduct monthly bank reconciliations.
- Assist with the preparation and administration of the budget, financial forecasts, and statements.
- Provide administrative support during the budget preparation process and participate in financial audits.
- Handle sensitive or confidential information with honesty and integrity.
- Proven work experience as a Finance Assistant, Finance Officer or similar role, preferably within a law firm or professional services environment.
- Strong understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- High level of discretion and confidentiality.
- Proficiency in MS Excel.
- Strong attention to detail, with an ability to spot numerical errors.
- AAT Level 3 or 4, Semi Qualified ACA/CIMA/ACCA or qualified by experience.
- Experience of using Leap (preferred)
