My client operates a luxury hotel in an enviable Devon coastal location. We are looking for a Reception & Events Supervisor to join their Front Office Team, a role that will encompass all aspects of Reception & Reservation duties whilst also coordinating a range of events throughout the annual calendar of this busy hotel.
**Rewards & Benefits**
This opportunity attracts a salary of c£26,000 + attractive tronc system and company benefits.
First class newly refurbishment ensuite accommodation is available charged at £90 per week if required.
40 hour per week across 5 shifts - 7.30-4, 9-5, 10-6, 1.30-10pm
**Duties & Responsibilities**
This is a varied and interesting role working as an integral part of the Front Office team and taking responsibility for the hotels event schedule. Duties will include:
- Day to day reception and reservation duties and as the hub of this high occupancy hotel coordinating effectively with all departments.
- Liaising with a range of guests - on the front desk, dealing with any issues that arise and providing accurately written communication and dealing with telephone enquiries.
- Providing accurate day to day information and specific event details and function sheets
- Planning and preparing a range of events, including a very busy Festive Party booking season, small weddings, private parties, corporate events, some large dinners and exhibitions.
- Conducting show arounds for interested guests and event parties.
- Effectively responding to all event enquiries and managing a busy inbox.
- Supporting the senior management team in producing event contracts and invoices for these events.
- Cash handling and balancing, invoicing, and credit control.
This role would suit a Reception Supervisor with an interest in moving into Event Co-ordination or an Events Graduate looking for a versatile role including Reception, Reservations and Events.
To succeed in this role, you will enjoy working as part of a team, be versatile in your approach and be able to effectively multitask and manage your time.
You will have strong communication skills and have an impeccable attention to detail. Good IT, numeracy and writing skills will be essential to cover all aspects of this role.
