**Job Description**

We are seeking an experienced Human Sample Management Technician to join our Human Biology Facility team. As a key member of the Human Sample Management Team, you will be responsible for receiving, processing, and logging human-derived samples, as well as carrying out assays.

The role requires flexible working hours, including late shifts from 12 pm to 8 pm, to meet sample reception and processing requirements.

You will work closely with the Human Sample Management Team Supervisor to devise and implement daily tasks related to areas of the HSMT remit. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Receiving, tracking, processing, aliquoting, and assaying samples according to study and project requirements
  • Becoming proficient in Laboratory Information Management software systems
  • Understanding and following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Risk Assessments
  • Familiarizing yourself with CL2 practices, HTA, GCP, Clinical Research Delivery, and other regulatory requirements
  • Working within regulatory and policy frameworks

**Required Skills and Qualifications**

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Good time management and organizational skills
  • Experience using Microsoft Office software package, particularly Microsoft Excel
  • A willingness to undertake training as required
  • An interest in biomedical research and a willingness to develop knowledge and understanding of the research programs at the Crick
