An experienced Primary Teaching Assistant is sought after by Academics LTD and our partner OFSTED Outstanding Primary School in Wandsworth, London.

This vital role requires a degree-qualified individual with at least 6 months of experience supporting students with SEN. The successful candidate will work closely with the teacher and other support staff to create a tailored learning plan for the student.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver personalized support to the student, facilitating their academic and social development.
  • Establish effective communication channels with parents, teachers, and other stakeholders.
  • Participate in collaborative planning and team meetings to ensure a cohesive approach.

To excel in this position, you should possess

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • A strong ability to engage students with complex needs and foster a positive learning environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Prior experience with SEMH and de-escalation techniques is advantageous but not necessary.
