About the Role:

This SEN School Officer role is an excellent opportunity for an experienced individual to make a positive impact on the lives of students with SEM needs.

You will be responsible for supporting students who require additional support due to their SEM needs, helping them to access education and overcome barriers to learning.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Student Support: Provide individualised support to students, helping them to develop strategies to manage their behaviour and access education.
  • Safeguarding: Ensure the safety and well-being of all students by adhering to school policies and procedures.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with teachers and other support staff to ensure that students receive a comprehensive support package.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience as a Prison Officer or in a similarly demanding environment.
  • A passion for helping young people with SEM challenges achieve their potential.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team and maintain a flexible, proactive attitude.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
