About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Marine Biologist to join our Ecosystem Solutions team at Ramboll Group A/S. As a Senior Marine Biologist, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality marine biology assessments and reports, and providing specialist advice to project managers and other Ramboll teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and undertake marine biology assessments and produce high-quality reports
  • Liaise with regulators and stakeholders to ensure compliance with environmental legislation
  • Manage small to medium-scale projects and contribute to large-scale projects with the support of the marine biology lead
  • Act as the main point of contact with Ramboll project managers, clients, partner organisations, and sub-consultants
  • Deliver technical work on complex projects and prepare fee proposals
  • Supervise and manage more junior staff and contribute to resource planning
Requirements
  • Seven years of consulting experience on marine biology projects
  • Appropriate BSc or equivalent qualification with a post-graduate qualification in Marine Biology or a comparable subject
  • Desirable skills and experience include coastal and offshore bird ecology and/or assessing underwater noise impacts on mammals
  • Ability to produce clear and concise deliverables to a high technical standard
  • Highly organised and able to work efficiently and effectively to deadlines
  • Good knowledge of relevant environmental/marine legislation
  • Understanding of the UK marine planning system in relation to development and the integration of marine biology
  • Proficient user of MS Office software and ideally ArcGIS
  • Full clean UK driving licence
