About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Marine Biologist to join our Ecosystem Solutions team at Ramboll Group A/S. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality marine biology assessments and reports, liaising with regulators, and managing small to medium-scale projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and undertake marine biology assessments and produce high-quality reports
  • Liaise with regulators and stakeholders to ensure compliance with environmental legislation
  • Manage small to medium-scale projects, including offshore wind ecological mitigation and enhancements, impacts and dependencies on the marine environment, and nature-based solutions
  • Deliver technical work on complex projects, including coastal and offshore bird ecology and assessing underwater noise impacts on mammals
  • Prepare fee proposals and assist with client relationship management
  • Supervise and manage more junior staff and contribute to resource planning
Requirements
  • Seven years of consulting experience on marine biology projects
  • Appropriate BSc or equivalent qualification with a post-graduate qualification in Marine Biology or comparable subject
  • Desirable skills and experience include coastal and offshore bird ecology and/or assessing underwater noise impacts on mammals
  • Ability to produce clear and concise deliverables to a high technical standard
  • Highly organized and able to work efficiently and effectively to deadlines
  • Good knowledge of relevant environmental/marine legislation
  • Proficient user of MS Office software and ideally ArcGIS
  • Full clean UK driving license
