We are seeking a highly skilled Marine Biologist to join our Ecosystem Solutions team at Ramboll Group A/S. As a Senior Marine Biologist, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality marine biology assessments and reports, working closely with regulators, and managing small to medium-scale projects.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct marine biology assessments and produce high-quality reports
- Liaise with regulators and stakeholders
- Manage small to medium-scale projects, with input on large-scale projects
- Deliver technical work on complex projects
- Prepare fee proposals and assist with client relationship management
- Supervise and manage junior staff, and contribute to resource planning
- Significant consulting experience on marine biology projects
- Appropriate BSc or equivalent qualification with a post-graduate qualification in Marine Biology or comparable subject
- Desirable skills and experience include coastal and offshore bird ecology, and assessing underwater noise impacts on mammals
- Ability to produce clear and concise deliverables to a high technical standard
- Highly organized and able to work efficiently and effectively to deadlines
- Good knowledge of relevant environmental/marine legislation
- Understanding of the UK marine planning system in relation to development and the integration of marine biology
- Proficient user of MS Office software and ideally ArcGIS
- Full clean UK driving license
