Job Summary:

As a key member of our Children's Services team, you will be responsible for leading a team of social workers and providing strategic direction to ensure the best possible outcomes for our children and families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of social workers and provide strategic direction to ensure the best possible outcomes for our children and families.
  • Support the Service Manager with strategy, policy, and future direction of the service.
  • Ensure effective feedback and translation into service delivery.
  • Deliver plans and service priorities, while ensuring high standards of practice and positive outcomes for our children.
  • Lead multi-agency planning for children and deliver excellent practice standards within the legal framework.
  • Allocate team workloads and provide case management.
  • Maximise relationships with partners to deliver effective and relevant support to our children and young people.

Requirements:

  • Experience in leading a team of social workers and providing strategic direction.
  • Strong understanding of the Children's Act and other relevant legislation.
  • Ability to work effectively with children, young people, and their families.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities.
